Volleyball Recap: Viburnum Blue Jays vs. Belle Tigers

Viburnum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Belle Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Blue Jays have suffered against the Tigers since September 28, 2021.

While Viburnum ultimately came up short, they really made Belle work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-23, 25-16.

Jadelyn Barton paced Viburnum's offense, picking up six kills. Barton got some help from Haylee Barton and her eight assists. Kaylynn Martin controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Viburnum's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Belle, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 7-5-1 record.

Coincidentally, Viburnum and Belle will both be playing Steelville the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Blue Jays will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
