Basketball Recap: Bay Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Avon, Bay was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 55-42 victory over the North Olmsted Eagles. While the Rockets didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

North Olmsted lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Katie Strong, who went 7 for 9 on her way to 14 points. The dominant performance gave Strong a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rose Lane, who posted nine points and six steals.

Bay is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for North Olmsted, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

When Bay and North Olmsted next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Bay will try to stop Rocky River's four-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, North Olmsted will try to stop Cloverleaf's six-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
