Royse City entered their tilt with Rockwall on Friday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Yellowjackets. Considering the Bulldogs have won 15 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Royse City pushed their record up to 18-5 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Rockwall, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-13 record.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Royse City is set to square off against their familiar foe Forney at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Royse City 2.7, Forney 2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Rockwall will challenge rival Longview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
