Cascade Christian extended their winning streak to eight on Saturday, bumping them up to 8-0. They blew past the Klahowya Eagles, posting a 49-7 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Cougars' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Eagles are ranked 254th).

Cascade Christian found their leader in sophomore Donovan Walson, who rushed for 128 yards and one TD on only 11 carries, and also picked up 50 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Walson also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up two sacks and making eight total tackles (3.0 for loss). Tayven Collins was another key player, rushing for 37 yards and one score.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Cascade Christian's defense and their seven sacks. In that department, Walson was the leader with two.

As for Klahowya, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-6. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

When it comes to explaining why Klahowya lost, don't look at Nick Freymuth. Despite the final result, he rushed for 117 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, and also picked up 42 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Coming up, Cascade Christian will head out on the road to square off against Life Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Klahowya, they will square off against Bellevue Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
