Cascade Christian had won five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Saturday they bumped up to 8-0 to make it six. They claimed a resounding 49-7 win over the Klahowya Eagles. Considering the Cougars have won six matchups by more than 35 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Cascade Christian found their leader in sophomore Donovan Walson, who rushed for 128 yards and one TD on only 11 carries, and also picked up 50 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Walson also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up two sacks and making eight total tackles (3.0 for loss). Tayven Collins was another key player, rushing for 37 yards and one touchdown.

Cascade Christian's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB seven times. Walson was especially locked on to Klahowya's QB and sacked him twice.

As for Klahowya, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6. They have struggled against Cascade Christian recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Klahowya lost, don't look at Nick Freymuth. Despite the final result, he rushed for 117 yards on only 11 carries, and also picked up 42 receiving yards.

Looking ahead, Cascade Christian will face off against Life Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Klahowya, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bellevue Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
