Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Wray

If Frontier Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Wray, they should've done a better job of containing Danyelle Davis. The Wray Eagles blew past the Frontier Academy Wolverines, posting a 68-38 victory with plenty of help from Davis, who went 9-for-14 to rack up 24 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Jones, who posted nine points along with eight steals and five boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

The win made it two in a row for Wray and bumps their season record up to 5-16. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 3-18 Frontier Academy and 9-12 Windsor Charter Academy. As for Frontier Academy, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

Wray has already played their next game, a 37-30 loss against Valley on the 27th. As for Frontier Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 56-25 defeat against Windsor Charter Academy on the 25th.
