Football Recap: Gordon Lee Starts Season with Win Against Trion

Gordon Lee took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Trion Bulldogs by a score of 23-12. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 30-6 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Gordon Lee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Layne Vaughn, Peyton Groce, and Braxton Daniel picked up one apiece. Groce got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gordon Lee will face off against LaFayette at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Trion, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Dade County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
