Soccer Game Preview: Roaring Fork vs. Fruita Monument

The Roaring Fork Rams will head out on the road to challenge the Fruita Monument Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Roaring Fork is headed into their matchup with Fruita Monument looking for a result a bit more satisfying than what they got in their season opener against Grand Junction on Tuesday. Roaring Fork and Grand Junction finished up their game with a 2-2 draw.

Riley Beavington was the only thing that stood between Roaring Fork and a shutout considering she scored both of Roaring Fork's goals.

Meanwhile, Fruita Monument kept a clean sheet against Montrose on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Red Hawks.

Roaring Fork beat Fruita Monument by a goal when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Roaring Fork since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
