Baseball Recap: Craig County Takes a Loss

Craig County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Staunton River Golden Eagles, falling 15-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-3 back in March.

Craig County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Potter, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Craig County's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Staunton River, they pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Craig County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 4-1 defeat against Parry McCluer on the 1st. As for Staunton River, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-0 loss against Jefferson Forest on the 30th.
