Football Recap: Temperance Grandison and Janiya Hollins Pace Palm Beach Gardens Defense

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Palm Beach Gardens can now relate to. They received a blow on Thursday as they fell 32-13 to the Wellington Wolverines. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Gators, who until this contest were averaging 10.71 points allowed.

Although Palm Beach Gardens took the loss, they still got scores from Jayila Stallworth and Kayle Murray.

Palm Beach Gardens' defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Wellington, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Palm Beach Gardens will be playing in front of their home fans against Jupiter at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors' defense has only allowed 6.8 points per game this season, so the Gators' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Wellington, they will host Freedom at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Wolverines 4, the Patriots 6.1) so any points scored will be well earned.
