On Thursday, Thompson faced Carrington in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Thompson Tommies blew past the Carrington Cardinals 62-39. The Tommies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 21 points or more this season.

The victory (which was Thompson's fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.6 points over those games. As for Carrington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-3.
