Volleyball Recap: Bakersfield Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Bakersfield duked it out with Winona on Friday. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Wildcats. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-10, 25-6.

Winona's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lexi Lindsey, who had five digs and three aces. Lindsey has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 62 times she's played.

Bakersfield's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Winona, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 33-4.

As of now, neither Bakersfield nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
