The Mount Vernon Mustangs will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Mount Pisgah Christian Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Mount Vernon is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They fell 31-20 to Walker on Friday.

Meanwhile, Mount Pisgah Christian came up short against Paideia last Tuesday and fell 36-26. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Everything came up roses for Mount Vernon against Mount Pisgah Christian in their previous matchup back in January of 2022, as the team secured a 77-21 win. In that game, Mount Vernon amassed a halftime lead of 41-11, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
