Volleyball Game Preview: Lakewood Leopards vs. Clinton Dark Horses + How To Watch

Lakewood hasn't had much luck against Clinton recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Leopards will venture away from home to challenge the Dark Horses at 5:00 p.m.

Lakewood came up short against East Columbus on Thursday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Clinton waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 3-1.

Clinton walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 26-28, 25-15, 25-16.

Lakewood better focus on containing Jenna Jackson and Cameron Marshburn as the pair were huge in Clinton's win. Jackson had 15 digs and four aces, while Marshburn had 34 digs and four aces. That's the most digs Marshburn has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Emery Johnson, who had 24 digs.

Clinton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in three consecutive contests.

Clinton's record now sits at 11-6. As for Lakewood, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.

Lakewood might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Clinton in their previous meeting back in August of 2024. Can the Leopards avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
