Basketball Game Preview: Hidden Valley Mustangs vs. Ashland Grizzlies

The Hidden Valley Mustangs will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Ashland Grizzlies at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Hidden Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Ashland likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, Hidden Valley came up short against Cottage Grove and fell 71-64. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (59), the Mustangs still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Ashland didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Phoenix on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 56-52 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Grizzlies.

Ashland's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Hidden Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Hidden Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Ashland when the teams last played back in December of 2017, sneaking past 64-61. Does Hidden Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ashland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
