Softball Recap: Gulf Breeze Dolphins vs. Escambia Gators
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Gulf Breeze had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Escambia Gators. The win made it back-to-back victories for Gulf Breeze.
Leila Ammon made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ammon was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with a home run and a double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kenna King, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Kylie Reed, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
