Soccer Recap: Poca Comes Up Short

Poca was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Sherman Tide. Poca were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Sherman apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Poca's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Sherman, they pushed their record up to 11-1-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Poca will face off against Sissonville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Poca will be up against Sissonville's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.6 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Sherman, they will take on Logan at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sherman will be up against Logan's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.55 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
