The biggest upset of the week belonged to North Newton, who defeated 225th ranked North Newton, 42-35.

Fans got a thrill when Jono Bigger and Schuyler Gargano connected against Calumet. The longest such play in Greater South Shore this season, the connection resulted in 64 yards.

The Spartans' dynamic duo of Bigger and Gargano proved to be unstoppable against the Warriors, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Bigger threw for 312 yards and 3 touchdowns and Gargano had 79 yards receiving. Tyler Richardson helped North Newton's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 76 yards.

North Newton's dynamic duo of Bigger and Gargano proved tough for Calumet to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Ethan Young was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 189 yards on 26 carries as Whiting fell to Ivan Zimmer's team. Jesse Maynard also contributed to the rushing game with 27 yards on the ground.

Gargano was the best receiver in the league this week as the Spartans lost to the Warriors.

He was 14-41 with 6 interceptions.

Bigger put up the best numbers in passing as North Newton lost to Calumet.

The Spartans' Bigger and Gargano have formed a dream team this season, leading Greater South Shore in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Bigger has thrown for 1,031 yards this season, while Gargano has 11 catches for 290 yards. The Oilers' Young leads the league in rushing yards with 278.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when River Forest takes on the Warriors. At the moment, the Ingots are in second, while Calumet is in third.

Bishop Noll was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from eighth to fifth in the league. The Warriors defeated South Central 23-13 earlier in the week.
