Softball Recap: Valley Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Valley had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Muscatine Muskies. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 15 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Valley's victory bumped their record up to 24-6. As for Muscatine, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Valley will head out to take on Waukee at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Muscatine, they will venture away from home to square off against Bettendorf at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Muskies' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
