Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Airport walked away with it. They came out on top against the South Florence Bruins by a score of 4-1 on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on six straight.

Cash Epps tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 5.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Airport's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Braden Gross, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Airport's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for South Florence, their loss dropped their record down to 20-11.

Airport will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bruins: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
