Basketball Game Preview: Antioch Sequoits vs. Grayslake Central Rams

Antioch is 0-10 against Grayslake Central since January of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Sequoits will get right back to it and host the Rams at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Antioch was able to grind out a solid win over Round Lake, taking the game 54-45. The Sequoits haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Heidi Rathmann produced another solid effort putting up 19 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Antioch's points. Another player making a difference was Addison Webb, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grayslake Central). They breezed past North Chicago to the tune of 68-16 on Friday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-4.

Grayslake Central now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Antioch, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.
