Baseball Game Preview: Wray Eagles vs. Caliche Buffaloes

The Wray Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Caliche Buffaloes at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wray is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Wray came up short against Highland on Saturday, falling 11-1. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Wray saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grady Godsey, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Caliche lost 15-1 to Merino on Saturday. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caliche's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Wray, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Wray was able to grind out a solid win over Caliche when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 7-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
