Jasper extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 11-8. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the North Posey Vikings 4-2. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 14-8 victory the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.
Bryn Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up six Ks.

Jasper and North Posey should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Wildcats will challenge Forest Park at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (99 vs. 242). Meanwhile, North Posey (ranked 123rd) will meet Pike Central (ranked 267th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
