Baseball Recap: Silver Lake Regional Takes a Loss

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Silver Lake Regional and Plymouth South meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Lakers fell 7-3 to the Panthers. The Lakers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Silver Lake Regional has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Plymouth South, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Silver Lake Regional will venture away from home to face off against Whitman-Hanson Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Lakers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Plymouth South, they will challenge North Quincy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
