Softball Recap: Hicksville Comes Up Short

Swanton hit Hicksville with a five-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Aces took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Aces have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mckenna Baird made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Evy McAlexander, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Hicksville's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Swanton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-12.
