Steele and Midview are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Comets will be playing at home against the Middies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Friday, Steele ended up a good deal behind North Ridgeville and lost 42-28. The loss continues a trend for the Comets in their meetings with the Rangers: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 41 points the game before, Midview was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were dealt a 42-7 defeat at the hands of Olmsted Falls. The Middies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Steele will have to keep a close watch on Marcus McMahon and Brennen Newton, a pair of players who had a big impact on Midview's prior game. McMahon rushed for 89 yards and one score, while Newton gained 116 total yards. McMahon showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 57 yards.

Midview now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Steele, they now also have a losing record of 4-5.

Steele didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Midview in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, but they still walked away with a 21-16 win. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Middies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
