Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lone Oak). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cumby Trojans on Friday, sneaking past 10-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Buffaloes have posted since April 16, 2024.

Lone Oak's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Cumby, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Lone Oak will take on Ranchview at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Lone Oak is facing Ranchview at the right time seeing as Ranchview is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Cumby, they will head out to square off against Daingerfield at 1:50 p.m. on Friday.
