Basketball Recap: Holy Savior Menard Takes a Loss

Holy Savior Menard lost against Oak Hill back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Holy Savior Menard Eagles took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oak Hill Rams. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Rams are ranked 29th).

Jodie Jowers was her usual excellent self, putting up 24 points along with eight rebounds and six steals for Oak Hill. Jowers is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brilee Dousay, who posted eight points and five steals.

Holy Savior Menard's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Oak Hill, they pushed their record up to 25-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Holy Savior Menard has already played their next matchup (against Kinder), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Oak Hill, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-17 victory against Avoyelles Charter on the 7th.
