Baseball Recap: Kings Christian Takes a Loss

Kings Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Farmersville Aztecs. If the Crusaders were looking for revenge after losing 19-1 to the Aztecs when the teams met back in March of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jasiah Zamaripa was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Andrew Ortega was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Kings Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7-1. As for Farmersville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Kings Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-6 win against Avenal on the 27th. As for Farmersville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-2 loss against Granite Hills on the 25th.
