The Timpanogos Timberwolves will head out on the road to face off against the West Jordan Jaguars at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Timpanogos gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over Mountain View. The win was nothing new for the Timberwolves as they're now sitting on three straight.
The team relied heavily on Isacc Miller, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Dylan Partridge, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Timpanogos kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, West Jordan had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They put the hurt on the Lancers with a sharp 12-5 victory.
Bryn Gibson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Ethan Baldwin was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brendan Wood, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI and one run.
West Jordan pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Timpanogos, their record is now 17-6.
Monday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Timpanogos hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .370. However, it's not like West Jordan struggles in that department as they've averaged .383. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
