Softball Recap: Vallejo Redhawks vs. Kennedy Eagles

Vallejo was the 19-7 winner over Kennedy when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vallejo Redhawks lost 15-5 to the Kennedy Eagles on Friday. The Redhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vallejo saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jamaya Oates, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Vallejo now has a losing record of 2-3-1. As for Kennedy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-1-1.

Coming up, Vallejo will welcome Emery at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Vallejo has given up an average of 13 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Kennedy, they will head out on the road to take on El Cerrito at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
