South Hagerstown scored the most runs they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Smithsburg Leopards by a score of 13-12. The Rebels haven't had much luck with the Leopards recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Derek Kline made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and fired off three home runs, four runs, and five RBI while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. JK Rosario was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI.

South Hagerstown's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Smithsburg, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.
