Basketball Recap: Eastland Skates Past Millsap with Ease

Eastland fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They claimed a resounding 63-21 victory over the Millsap Bulldogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mavericks also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Kaleigh Wooldridge and Kennley Rusinovich certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Wooldridge posted five points and five steals, while Rusinovich put up five points. Wooldridge is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 16 games she's played.

Eastland's win ended an eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-12. As for Millsap, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season.

Eastland will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Peaster at 6:15 p.m. Peaster's defense has only allowed 23.4 points per game this season, so Eastland's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Millsap, they are taking a road trip to take on Early at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
