Softball Game Preview: York County Tech Spartans vs. Columbia Crimson Tide

The York County Tech Spartans will head out to square off against the Columbia Crimson Tide at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. York County Tech has given up an average of 10.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for York County Tech's offense. They came up short against Biglerville on Wednesday, falling 17-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Canners: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Columbia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 19-1 to J.P. McCaskey.

York County Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Columbia, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

York County Tech came out on top in a nail-biter against Columbia in their previous matchup back in May of 2015, sneaking past 11-9. Will York County Tech repeat their success, or does Columbia has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
