Softball Recap: Northville's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Northville extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 16-5 in the process. They skirted past the Howell Highlanders 7-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-0 on Wednesday.

As for Howell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9-1 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since April 4th.

For Howell's part, Leighton Scott was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Scott has snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia May, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northville will be taking part in a tournament against Northview at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Howell, they will square off against Stevenson at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
