Softball Recap: Spotswood Comes Up Short

Spotswood managed to slip by Broadway the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Trailblazers came up short against the Gobblers on Thursday, falling 6-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Trailblazers were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Spotswood and nudges their season record down to 3-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 6-2 East Rockingham (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 79.2% over those games). As for Broadway, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Spotswood will venture away from home to take on Harrisonburg at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for Broadway, they will square off against East Rockingham at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
