Lebanon typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Central Wise proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Pioneers by a score of 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.
Kaelyn Dales made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Dales was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Dales wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Fleming, who went 3-for-4 with one run.
Lee pushed their record up to 20-6 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Central Wise, their win bumped their record up to 12-8.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Lee hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Central Wise struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Lee took their victory against Central Wise when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Generals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
