Volleyball Game Preview: Manti Templars vs. Granger Lancers

The Manti Templars will face off against the Granger Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Manti took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Gunnison Valley by a score of 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Templars in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.

While Manti might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Gunnison Valley scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 22-25, 25-18, 28-26.

Granger not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 5, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They blew past Ben Lomond 3-0.

Granger's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Manti, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Everything went Manti's way against Granger when the teams last played back in August of 2022, as Manti made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Templars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lancers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
