Basketball Recap: Jimmy Huntington Find Success

Tok came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Jimmy Huntington, but Makais Starr wouldn't allow it. The Jimmy Huntington Hustlers walked away with a 66-59 win over the Tok Wolverines on Friday thanks in part to Starr, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 12 boards. Starr is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Another player making a difference was Owen Roberts, who posted 16 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. He is becoming a predictor of Jimmy Huntington's success: when he posts at least three steals the team is undefeated (and 4-5 when he doesn't).

Several Wolverines players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lucas Hipp, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine boards. Marvin Captain was another key player, putting up 11 points along with six steals and five rebounds.

Jimmy Huntington's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Tok, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Jimmy Huntington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-59 win against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the 7th. As for Tok, they will challenge Ninilchik at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
