Basketball Recap: Luray Falls Short of Stuarts Draft in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Luray can now relate to. They fell to the Stuarts Draft Cougars 30-25. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Cougars are ranked 105th).

Luray has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. Stuarts Draft pushed their record up to 20-4 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home.

Luray does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stuarts Draft, they will square off against Clarke County at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Clarke County will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Stuarts Draft surely won't give up without a fight.
