Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Oviedo walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Sunlake Seahawks on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Oviedo's got stronger as the match went on, holding Sunlake to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-15, 25-11.

Avery Stephens went supernova, getting 19 digs and six assists. She has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last nine times she's played.

Oviedo's victory bumped their record up to 24-6. As for Sunlake, they moved to 22-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Oviedo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against St. Thomas Aquinas on the 8th. Sunlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
