Basketball Recap: Milford Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Milford had won four straight games and Gabby Chadwell did her part to make it five on Thursday. The Milford Eagles snuck past the Walnut Hills Eagles with a 49-44 victory thanks in part to Chadwell, who posted 11 points and seven steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games she's played.

Milford has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Walnut Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5.

Milford and Walnut Hills should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Milford (ranked 30th) will meet Loveland (ranked 293rd) at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Milford will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Similarly, Walnut Hills will square off against Little Miami at 6:30 p.m. on Monday up 115 places (43 vs. 158). Milford is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season.
