Baseball Game Preview: Archbishop Carroll Bulldogs vs. Killian Cougars

The Archbishop Carroll Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Killian Cougars at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Archbishop Carroll and Piper finished up their game with a 4-4 tie.

Meanwhile, Killian didn't have quite enough to beat Northside Christian on Saturday and fell 2-1. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brandon Pfeiffer was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Killian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Arcaute, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Killian now has a losing record of 4-5. Archbishop Carroll's draw gives them a new season record of 3-4-1.

Archbishop Carroll came up short against Killian in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 9-5. Can Archbishop Carroll avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
