Basketball Recap: Alpharetta Takes a Loss

Alpharetta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 55-29 to the Forsyth Central Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-26 back in January.

Forsyth Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Barnes, who posted 15 points. Those 15 points gave Barnes a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Olivia Burkes, who put up 11 points.

Alpharetta's loss dropped their record down to 0-22. As for Forsyth Central, their win bumped their record up to 9-16.

Alpharetta wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 65-30 defeat against West Forsyth on the 7th. As for Forsyth Central, they have also already played their next game, a 42-38 loss against North Atlanta on the 4th.
