Softball Recap: Mountain View Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Mountain View never let their opponents score on Friday. They put the hurt on the Ridgevue Warhawks with a sharp 13-0 win. The Mavericks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.

Mountain View let Kaitlyn Van Winkle and Brooke Austin run wild. Van Winkle went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Austin went 2-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI. Those two triples gave Austin a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlye Molina, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Mountain View pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Ridgevue, they are on a 27-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-19.

As of now, neither Mountain View nor the Warhawks have any future games scheduled.
