Basketball Recap: Cuthbertson Drops Season-High Score on Forestview + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cuthbertson). They came out on top against the Forestview Jaguars by a score of 71-59 on Wednesday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Cavaliers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Jaguars are ranked 400th).

Despite the loss, Forestview still got an impressive performance from Semaj Hart, who posted 19 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Zyir Sowell, who had 13 points and three steals.

Cuthbertson pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Forestview, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Cuthbertson will head out to square off against Porter Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers will be up against the Pirates' rather soft defense (which has allowed 70.43 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Forestview, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against North Gaston at 7:30 p.m. The Jaguars will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
