Preview: Fairfield Lions vs. North Adams Green Devils
Fairfield has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the North Adams Green Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fairfield will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 575th, while North Adams is ranked 128th).
Fairfield pushed their score all the way to 55 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 63-55 to Jackson.
Meanwhile, North Adams put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They blew past Whiteoak, posting a 74-36 win at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win North Adams has posted against Whiteoak since December 14, 2017.
Fairfield has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for North Adams, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
Fairfield couldn't quite finish off North Adams in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 and fell 43-41. Can Fairfield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
