Preview: North Brunswick Scorpions vs. J.H. Rose Rampants
The North Brunswick Scorpions will be playing in front of their home fans against the J.H. Rose Rampants at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Brunswick will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only North Brunswick walked away with it. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 28-27 win over Person.
North Brunswick can attribute much of their success to Tarron Green, who rushed for 20 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 191 yards and a touchdown while completing 72.2% of his passes. Chris Webb did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 85 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, J.H. Rose gave up the first points last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They skirted past White Oak 21-19. The win was just what J.H. Rose needed coming off of a 35-7 loss in their prior matchup.
Jameer Roach was the offensive standout of the contest as he gained 92 total yards and two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped North Brunswick to 8-3 and J.H. Rose to 5-6.
