Baseball Recap: Prairieville Turns Things Around After Road Loss

Prairieville's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to East Ascension on Tuesday. Prairieville had just enough and edged out East Ascension 5-4. This was a revenge game for the Hurricanes: when they faced off against the Spartans last Saturday, they had to take a 9-8 loss.

Prairieville's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-4. As for East Ascension, they dropped their record down to 14-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Prairieville will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Catholic of Pointe Coupee at 4:00 p.m. on April 14. As for East Ascension, they will welcome St. Amant at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
