Basketball Game Preview: Argonia Raiders vs. Udall Eagles

Argonia is on a four-game streak of home losses, Udall a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Argonia Raiders will welcome the Udall Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Argonia is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest loss since February 6, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Oxford by a score of 55-52. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 337th, while the Wildcats are ranked 137th).

Meanwhile, Udall came up short against West Elk on Friday and fell 54-42.

Argonia will need focus on slowing down Jordan Hornecker, one of several Udall players who made an impact when they last played. He posted ten points along with six boards and five assists. Another player making a difference was Logan Mason, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 12 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Udall's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Argonia, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Argonia beat Udall 54-45 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Will Argonia repeat their success, or does Udall have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
